Peace in the Storms

Bad News -You can't survive alone - Good News - You aren't alone.

So here's the invitation. Stop trying to manufacture calm by getting every circumstance in line — you'll be at it forever, and the wind doesn't take orders from you. Instead, turn to the One already in the boat.
Hand him the thing you've been white-knuckling. Let the peace you cannot produce be given to you. He's not asking you to be unafraid before you come; he's offering to be your peace while you're still afraid.
So come. Bring the storm. And let him speak his "Peace, be still" over the part of you that's been bracing for the worst.
Remember His promise in John 14:17
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives . . . .
Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.

One of my favourite bible verses. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.
